Leaks of FIFA 23 have surfaced after the game was apparently playable on Xbox for a short period of time before its official release. The FIFA 23 soundtrack (including musicians like M.I.A., Odesza, Bad Bunny, and more) and unannounced alternate uniforms for some teams have been leaked.
But naturally, the most sought-after leaks concern FIFA Ultimate Team. Because of the leak(opens in new tab) of numerous English Premier League teams, we have access to the ratings of many players. The formal release of FIFA 23 is scheduled for next month, so naturally, FUT players are hurrying to prepare their squads without buying FIFA 23 coins.
A major nerf has been applied to Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Premier League team Manchester United at the moment (opens in new tab). Ronaldo, at 37 years old, has had his rating drop from a 91 to a 90 after being demoted from an 87 pace and an 81 overall. He's still a high-priced option for your FIFA Ultimate Team, but he may not be as valuable this year.
Ronaldo, who moved from Juventus (of Italy's Serie A league) to Manchester United in late 2021, scored 18 goals in 30 matches in the 2021-2022 season, down from 29 and 31 goals, respectively, in 33 matches the two previous seasons.
The Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 features Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe and Australian Women's National Team captain Sam Kerr. Based on what we've seen so far, Mbappe's ratings appear to be identical to FIFA 22. He's still listed at #91, but he's somewhat faster on the ball, passes less, and defends more effectively, and he'll be featured prominently in the standard edition of FIFA 23. The real question is, though, when we'll get to develop a FUT including women's football stars.
The September 27 release date has been established for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch versions of FIFA 23.
